President and CEO, Ocean City Tabernacle
Richard J. Stanislaw worshipped at the Tabernacle for over
40 years before becoming President in 2003. He comes to the Tabernacle with
an academic administrative background, serving as Vice President for Academic
Affairs at Waynesburg University, Vice President for Academic Affairs at
Taylor University, and Chair of the Music Department at Bloomsburg University.
Dr. Stanislaw has been honored as a Fellow of American
Council on Education, authored Companion to the Worshipping Church hymnal
dictionary, and
serves as a Reviewer for the American Choral Directors
Association. He has undergraduate
degrees in Bible from Philadelphia Biblical University and in Music Education
from Temple University. His master’s degree is in Music Composition from Temple
University. His Doctorate of Musical Arts is in Choral Conducting from the
University of Illinois. And he completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship
at Columbia
University.
In Ocean City, Dr. Stanislaw serves as Chair
of the Historical Preservation Commission and on the Historic Museum Board. He
and his wife of 46 years, Dr. Rebecca Stanislaw, are in Cape May Court House’s
Angelus Choir, which Dick directs. Becky was a college professor and is now a
real estate agent. They are the parents of three children and five
grandchildren.
