Dr. Edward H. Salmon

   Edward H. Salmon is Founder and Chairman of Salmon Ventures, Ltd., a national firm providing professional consulting to utilities, industry, government, and education with expertise in the water, energy, and communication industries. He serves as President of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners. His previous professional experience includes positions with the Governor’s Cabinet, President of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, Assemblyman, Cumberland County Freeholder Director, Millville Mayor, President/CEO of AUS Consultants, and Vice Chairman of AUS, Inc.

    Dr. Salmon earned his liberal arts degree from Gettysburg College, his master’s degree from Rowan University, and his doctoral degree from the University of Delaware. After college, he was a health and physical education teacher in the Millville Public Schools, where Coach Salmon was twice named New Jersey Basketball Coach of the Year and has been entered into the South Jersey Coaches Hall of Fame.

   Ed has served on the Corporate Boards of Sun National Bank, American Water Works, and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ’s School of Osteopathic Medicine. He has served in various capacities for civic organizations including, the Boy Scouts, Masonic Club, Enrichment Center for the Blind, United Fund, March of Dimes, American Cancer Society, and American Heart Association.

   Among his many honors include South Jersey’s Outstanding Citizen of the Year for three years, Six Recognitions as Legislator of the Year, Mayor Emeritus Award from NJ Conference of Mayors, NJ Utilities Association Distinguished Service Award, NJ Jaycees Outstanding Young Man of the Year, and Southern NJ Boy Scout Council’s Citizen of the Year.

   Mr. Salmon and his wife, Marilyn Lurae Groninger Salmon have been married 43 years and first attended the Tabernacle in 1965. They have two children and seven grandchildren.
