E. Guy Elzey, Jr. is a Real Estate Appraiser and Consultant,
receiving the Professional Designations of SRA, ASA, CRP, SR/WA, and IFAS. In
2007, he received the Appraisal Institute’s George A. Olasin Award for 50 years
of Professional Appraisal Practice. He is President and CEO of his company, E.G.
Elzey & Son in Haddonfield, which he started in 1949. In addition, Guy is a
Commercial and Industrial Real Estate Broker and Building Contractor. From 1951-1953,
he was a Captain in the Army Corp of Engineers. Guy has a degree in Economics from
Lafayette College and also attended Syracuse University.
The Haddonfield Police Department honored him for 50 years of
service as a Lieutenant.
Guy first attended the Tabernacle as a child in 1940. In 1983,
he joined the Board of Directors and was in charge of the building maintenance
and grounds, as well as, construction projects. He obtained the 13 bells for the
Tabernacle grounds from Cooper Hospital in 1997. After 20 years of service on the
Board, Guy was designated Life Trustee and Distinguished Fellow in 2003.
Guy and his wife, Marie have two children and five grandchildren.
